Before You Order

The questions we get most

What is the difference between Ready-to-Wear, Semi-Bespoke and Bespoke?

Ready-to-Wear garments are finished in standard sizing and dispatched promptly. Semi-Bespoke starts from a house design and adapts it to four key measurements you provide. A Private Commission is our most involved service, developed one at a time with Master Hu.

How accurate are remote measurements?

Accurate enough to make a real difference to fit, provided they are taken carefully. Our measuring guide shows you exactly how to take each of the four measurements, and our atelier team reviews every submission before cutting — we will contact you if anything looks off.

Which measurements do you need?

Bust, waist, hip and shoulder-to-hem. That is the full set for Semi-Bespoke.

How long does an order take?

Ready-to-Wear dispatches within a few business days. Semi-Bespoke is typically completed and dispatched within 2–3 weeks from measurement confirmation. Private Commissions are quoted individually.

Can I choose my own fabric?

Yes. Our Fabric Library covers mulberry silk, heavy silk brocade and seasonal heritage textiles, and we can send physical swatches before you decide.

What if the fit isn’t right?

Bespoke and semi-bespoke orders are covered by our Fit Guarantee: we provide a local alteration credit, or a remake where that is the better fix.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes — insured worldwide delivery with tracking from our Shenzhen atelier to your door.

Can a Ready-to-Wear piece be altered?

Selected styles include additional seam allowance to allow for minor local alterations. We recommend a tailor experienced with structured garments and delicate fabrics.
